CE Stamp EMC Compliance

The CE graphic found on our products pages signifies compliance with the EU EMC directive 89/336/EEC.

The Council of the European Communities has adopted a series of directives for equipment distributed in Europe. Directive 89/336/EEC, which relates to electromagnetic compatibility, specifies two requirements:

  1. A compliant device cannot interfere with the operation of telecommunications equipment.
  2. A compliant device is immune from electromagnetic interference.

Compliant devices are categorized into two classes: A and B. Class A is a more lenient class intended for industrial equipment. Class B is intended for devices for use in residential surroundings. All CE-marked equipment from Microstar Laboratories meets the more stringent Class B requirements.
